Greater Charlotte, NC Area
Full-time
Posted July 25, 2026
A technical, specification-driven sales seat in the pharmaceutical and biotech segment, working deals that run anywhere from 90 days to three years. The work is getting designed in early — at OEMs, engineering firms, integrators, and end users — rather than quoting against a spec somebody else already wrote. Suits a hunter with a real professional network and enough engineering fluency to hold a technical conversation without backup.
What you’ll own
Own sales growth and annual revenue and profit targets for the pharmaceutical and biotech segment within a defined geography
Build and execute account and territory plans, with accurate and timely forecasting
Present the product, systems, and project-management portfolio to defined target customers
Drive specification at OEMs, engineering and design firms, distribution partners, integrators, and end users — engaging at the earliest stages of a project or OEM opportunity
Generate interest through plant and facility tours, coordinating key technical personnel
Work through business development, distribution, and key account channels to extend reach across the territory
Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene (Microsoft Dynamics) across contacts, meetings, and opportunities to keep global pipeline visibility accurate
Support distributors and customers in their own sales and marketing efforts within the territory
Negotiate agreements with new and existing distribution partners, covering strategic initiatives, inventory selection, and agreed targets
Train distribution partners, customers, and prospects on products and online ordering tools
Represent the business as an ambassador in the market, operating within published expense policy and budget
What we’re looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent completed technical training and certification
5+ years of technical sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or adjacent process markets
A demonstrable track record of winning specified, long-cycle project business
Energetic hunter mentality with genuine entrepreneurial instinct
Strong customer focus and attention to detail
Negotiation skills, including the ability to compile and present project quotations
Engineering fluency: complex problem-solving, capacity calculations, and the ability to read datasheets and internal engineering documentation
ERP (SAP or similar) and CRM experience
Excellent oral and written communication; effective individually and inside a team
Self-directed, well-organized, and motivated to keep learning the technical side
