Industries

Industries we serve: manufacturing, engineering, fintech and regulated life sciences.

Retained and contingent search across the United States, in the industries where we are actually running work — not a list of markets we would like to enter.

ETHOSLINK is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina and runs searches nationwide — US-based clients and US-based placements. Every industry on this page is represented by a live or recently completed mandate. We publish the sectors our clients operate in, the roles we fill inside them, and the levels we run — from plant floor leadership through the C-suite. If your sector isn't here, that is not a soft no. It means we haven't earned the right to claim it yet.

Where we work

Four sectors. One operator's eye underneath all of them.

We are not a generalist agency that will chase any requisition. We are deepest where the hiring problem is technical, the talent pool is thin, and a bad hire shows up in the P&L within two quarters.

Manufacturing & Industrial

Our largest practice, and the one our founder came up in. Jeremy Holland grew a multi-state manufacturing territory from $1.5M to $10M+ ARR before building ETHOSLINK — we read plant economics, not just résumés.

  • Energy efficiency & process technology
  • Advanced manufacturing & automation
  • Supply chain and sourcing transformation

What we fill

Functions across every sector — and not only the corner office.

Engineering is our largest single function — 6 of 16 live searches. The rest runs from executive leadership through the specialist roles most firms won't touch because they take real subject-matter fluency to brief.

Engineering & Technical

Manufacturing, tooling, mechanical, controls, R&D and new product development. Our single largest function by volume.

Operations & Plant Leadership

Plant supervision and management, production readiness, multi-site operations, supplier development.

Quality, NPI & Supply Chain

Quality planning, new product introduction, supplier qualification, sourcing and cost.

Sales & Commercial Leadership

VP Sales, area and regional sales leadership, channel and revenue leadership, go-to-market.

Product, Growth & Marketing

Product management, funnel optimization and experimentation, paid media leadership, marketing analytics.

Finance, Legal & Executive

CFO, COO, CTO and CHRO searches, plus cost analysis, contracts, regulatory reporting and accounting.

We run searches at every level where the hire is pivotal — individual contributor specialists, mid-management, director, VP and C-suite. A precision CNC programmer can be as hard to replace as a plant manager, and we price and run those searches accordingly.

How we engage

Retained when the hire is pivotal. Contingent when it isn't.

Most firms sell you one model because it's the only one they run. We'll tell you which one your role actually warrants — and we will talk you out of a retainer you don't need. If you want the full logic, we wrote it down: retained vs. contingency search.

Where we work

Nationwide searches, run out of Charlotte.

We place across the United States. Our current book spans the Carolinas, the Gulf South, the Mountain West and the Pacific Northwest, plus fully remote mandates — and the search process does not change based on your zip code. What is local is us: ETHOSLINK is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, which means an operator takes your brief personally instead of routing it to a coordinator three time zones away.

US-based clients and US-based placements only. If you are hiring specifically in the Carolinas industrial corridor, we go deeper on that market here: executive search and recruiting in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Questions we get

Straight answers before you spend a call on them.

What industries does ETHOSLINK recruit for?

Manufacturing and industrial, engineering and technical operations, fintech and financial services, life sciences and regulated manufacturing, and industrial technology and energy transition. Manufacturing and industrial is our largest practice — 9 of our current client companies operate in it.

Do you place manufacturing and engineering roles specifically?

Yes, and it is the core of the firm. Engineering is our single largest function by volume, and our current manufacturing searches include manufacturing and tooling engineers, senior manufacturing engineers, mechanical engineers, plant supervision, quality and NPI leadership, packaging development, and R&D directors.

Do you work with banks?

We generally stay out of traditional retail and commercial banking. Our financial services work is on the fintech, marketplace and consumer finance side — online lending and insurance marketplaces, digital financial services platforms, and publicly traded fintech marketplaces. We will look at a banking mandate, but we will tell you honestly if another firm is a better fit.

Do you only recruit executives?

No. We run searches from specialist individual contributor roles through the C-suite. What determines whether we take a search is how pivotal the hire is and how hard the role is to brief — not the title on it.

Are you retained or contingency?

Both. We run retained search for pivotal hires and contingent search where the role doesn't warrant a retainer. We recommend the model that fits the role, and we will tell you when you don't need the more expensive one.

What size companies do you work with?

Small and mid-market businesses, PE-backed platforms, venture-backed startups and enterprise accounts. Our current client set ranges from privately held multi-entity manufacturers to publicly traded marketplaces.

Where is ETHOSLINK located?

ETHOSLINK LLC is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Do you only recruit in North Carolina?

No. ETHOSLINK runs searches nationwide across the United States. Charlotte is our headquarters, not our territory. Our current mandates span multiple states from the Southeast to the Pacific Northwest, plus fully remote roles. We work with US-based clients and place US-based candidates.

My industry isn't listed. Can you still help?

Often, yes. We only publish sectors where we have live or recently completed work, so this list is deliberately shorter than most firms'. Tell us the role and we will tell you plainly whether we are the right firm for it.

Tell us the role. We'll tell you what it really takes to fill it.

One conversation, no pitch deck. We diagnose the brief before we quote the search.
