A first-shift shipping, receiving, and inventory control role (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, occasional overtime) at an electrical products plant in Concord, NC (Charlotte metro), paying $22.75 per hour. Process ERP receipts and inventory transactions accurately and on time, coordinate inbound and outbound freight, run cycle counts, drive a forklift for putaway and material flow, and train teammates on shipping, receiving, and ERP procedures.
What you’ll own
Process ERP receipts and inventory transactions accurately and on time; print product ID tickets for material tracking
Investigate and resolve receiving, shipping, and inventory discrepancies; support cycle counts and inventory accuracy improvements
Keep item locations, inventory status, and material traceability records accurate; flag ERP compliance issues and recommend corrective actions
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with leads, freight carriers, suppliers, and internal teams, keeping all documentation complete and compliant
Track shipment status and raise delays early
Train employees on shipping, receiving, ERP transactions, and material handling; audit process compliance against work instructions and keep standard work and training records current
Identify and label product correctly, and contain nonconforming material
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to put away material and keep it moving to and from presses, assembly, packaging, rework, and storage racks
Maintain and cycle count floor stock using scales; work with vacuum loaders, dryers, and granulators; move finished goods
Keep the work area organized, clean, and safe
What we’re looking for
3+ months of manufacturing experience
Experience with a formal inventory control system (required)
Forklift certification (required); prior forklift and data-entry experience preferred
Intermediate Microsoft Office, especially Excel, plus SharePoint
WorkKeys scores: Math 3, Locating Information 4, Reading for Information 3
Basic English reading and writing; good communication and interpersonal skills
Physical: lift up to 50 lb; repetitive work including bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
Able to work overtime when needed
Hearing protection, eye protection, and steel-toed shoes required on the floor
Preferred: high school diploma or GED, and experience with nonconformance (NCR) tracking databases
