Keep a continuous-process production plant running on a 12-hour night rotation (7:00 PM – 7:15 AM, 4 on / 4 off). A true multi-craft seat: mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting down to the component level, machining your own replacement parts, and a voice in root-cause and plant-improvement work. No supervisory responsibilities.
What you’ll own
Disassemble, repair, and restore production machinery to design specification using hand tools
Clean, inspect, and test mechanical and hydraulic systems; find worn or faulty components and correct them
Install and replace mechanical drive and hydraulic motion-control components; align motors, couplings, sheaves, sprockets, cylinders, and linear slides
Set up and run lathes, drill presses, mills, and grinders to fabricate, modify, or repair machine parts
Test circuits with voltmeters, ammeters, resistance testers, and megohmmeters
Read schematics to troubleshoot machine control circuits and high-frequency / high-voltage generating circuits to the component level, then make the repair
Move, reset, and reteach servo systems using specialized interface equipment
Contribute to in-depth root-cause analysis and recommend countermeasures
Take part in preventive maintenance, operator-led maintenance, and 5S; follow environmental management (EMS) procedures, including waste disposal
What we’re looking for
High school diploma or GED, plus 1 year of maintenance experience or training
Able to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and to write routine reports
Able to present information and answer questions from managers
Shop math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
Practical troubleshooter who works from written, verbal, diagram, and schedule instructions where standardization is limited
Must complete all required job training
Physical: regular standing and hand work; frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; occasional climbing; lift up to 100 lb; close and color vision
Environment: moving machinery, work at heights, heat, humidity, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards, and vibration; hard-soled composite or leather work boots required, plus hearing, respirator, eye, and welding PPE as tasks require
Preferred: associate degree or technical-school equivalent, plus 1–3 years of experience
